The Cycle of Grace

image borrowed
Mat. 10:8
“Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons.
Freely you have received; freely give.”

Knowing the reason why God has called you, you will be amazed when you realize the grace and the ministry that He has given you, the grace and ministry that can be passed on to others, - it's a cycle - a grace cycle. Ministry, at its core, is the ongoing exchange of the gift of grace. Grace has freely given, freely received. Maybe you've never thought about it, but your work is a gift -not just to for the people in our church, but for you as well being trusted by no less than God Himself to be an extension of His love for others.

I think there is also good thing happens in an accident when I accidentally stumble on this image and start exploring it by trying to put my own word study for each stage – thing that I love doing. Though I borrowed the image and its corresponding names from the net, I just want to share it with all of you the stages of a successful cycle of Grace. Remember, whatever a man sows, he will reap in return, this is the basic law of life.

1.  Acceptance – this is the starting point of it all. You know who you are and understand the Grace of God to you through our Lord Jesus Christ. Accepting your call and the ministry that He entrusted you. For you are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works that He prepared in advance for you to do. You have to accept the truth that you are a minister of God.

2.  Sustenance -  simply means growing in the call that God has prepared you. You have to discover your ministry and nourish it and  us it for God’s kingdom. 2 Peter 3:18 (ESV) But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

3.  Significance -  believing that you have a great part of the Kingdom building. You are important and you are part of the great puzzle of God’s movement. You may think that your role is small and insignificant, but the truth is you are important.

4.  Fruitfulness – this is the end result of it all, to reproduce a life that will also do the same process that you started in their lives. The Lord Jesus called us to produce fruit that will last so that the cycle will continue until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Being called and equipped to minister His grace is a blessing from the One who gives every good gift. Without a doubt, your work as a minister is an extension of God's grace to others.

As 2 Cor. 1:3-4
"3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

I encourage you to go deeper in your study and application of the Word of God. Be more hungry and thirsty for more of God so that you can give more because Grace naturally multiplies. We receive grace, so we are given grace. Others receive it and, in turn, give it to others. Grace freely received, freely given. Just remember that His Life South is not just a base for us to go and do church, but a place for us to go and do the ministry of God, a ministry of healing, restoring broken lives, cleansing person's sins and reconciling them to God in grace, letting people experience the love and the grace of God, and pray that they themselves will be able to pass it on to others.

Don’t miss this great opportunity to extend grace to others, for in due time you will reap the harvest of what you have planted. The cycle of Grace is always at work if you start from the principle of Freely you have received; freely give
